A respected television commentator and speaker, Jessica appears regularly on FOX News and FOX Business where she provides insight and analysis on a range of political, government, and business topics. Ehrlich makes frequent appearances on The O'Reilly Factor, America’s Newsroom, Cavuto, Your World with Neil Cavuto, Bulls and Bears and Cashin In. She has also appeared on MSNBC, WEDU PBS’s Florida This Week and on radio. Her expertise and engaging style have also made her a sought-after speaker particularly on finance and women’s issues such as for the Center for American Progress and Main Street Florida’s Conference on Women.
Ehrlich also has an extensive background in business and finance during her years in New York and worked in analysis and communications for Goldman Sachs, Bloomberg LP, The Estee Lauder Companies and Cartier, Inc. in addition to her legal practice.
Aside from her work in business, Jessica has a wealth of government experience. Prior to her own campaign for Congress in 2012, Jessica worked for both majorities in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington. Ehrlich began her career in government with Representative Clay Shaw (R-FL) where she handled issues such as Social Security, Financial Services and the Judiciary. Ehrlich then served as Counsel for Representative Stephen Lynch (D-MA) of the Financial Services Committee and chair of the Congressional Task Force on Terrorism and Proliferation Financing. Ehrlich has spent nearly a decade working on federal legislative and regulatory matters.
In 2012, Jessica was the Democratic Nominee for US Congress for the 13th District of Florida. Although she did not win, her electoral performance was exceptional as a first time candidate garnering the highest votes ever received by a challenger to her 46 year incumbent opponent. Her campaign displayed an unusually strong fundraising prowess and she repeatedly outraised her opponent with the support of thousands of donors across the country.
Jessica’s accomplishments have not gone unnoticed. In 2013, she was named a Florida Association of Women Lawyers' Leaders in the Law. In 2012, she was recognized by Glamour Magazine as a “Woman of the Year” for Women in Politics.
Jessica was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. Growing up an avid equestrian, she was a national and state champion in show jumping. She is a licensed attorney in the state of Florida.
Ehrlich graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University and holds a law degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law where she received a Dean’s Merit Scholarship, interned for the Chief Judge of the U.S. Federal Court for Middle Florida in Tampa and held a fellowship in international human rights law.
